My deep love is for the invisible parts of design, in particular how design and people come together — in designer-client relationships, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and as humans using a new product. I welcome the opportunity to question assumptions and believe this allows us to make our processes more explicit, shareable, responsible, and open to experimentation. Committed to making the Bay Area my long-term home, I am looking for the opportunity to build not just great products, but also a true community of practice here.

I grew up in the Silicon Valley influenced by my software engineer dad explaining the beauty of code and my mom's lived belief that you build what the world needs — with no fear of being the first pioneer to survey new territory. Over the past 17 years, I have traveled to research scientific process, practice visual design, engage in entrepreneurship, lead educational experiences, facilitate inclusive group conversations, and learn to welcome ambiguity and uncertainty into my creative process. When I returned to the Bay Area, I found that it had grown into the place I had been searching for — a community that brings research, education, and human empathy to the process of creating great design.

I bring excellent collaboration and communication skills and experience working within diverse teams, a systematic approach to design problems, and an ability to leverage data and analytics. I manage multiple fast-paced projects and am dedicated to good working relationships with developers and writers. I work well independently while consistently seeking out opportunities to grow as part of a team or diverse collaborative group. I am an empathetic and practiced listener with outstanding visual design and typography skills. My background includes creating educational experiences, a commitment to aligning design with business goals, training in dialogue and facilitation with diverse teams, and research in developing evaluation methods.

I hold a Master of Fine Art degree from Rhode Island School of Design and Bachelor of Science degrees from UC Davis in Plant Biology and Graphic Design.
